The best Conch salad in the Bahamas

First what is conch
"Conch (/ˈkɒŋk/ or /ˈkɒntʃ/) is a common name that is applied to a number of different medium to large-sized sea snails or their shells. The term generally applies to large sea snails whose shell has a high spire and a noticeable siphonal canal (in other words, the shell comes to a point at both ends).

Conch is second in popularity only to the escargot for edible snails, the meat of conches is used as food, either eaten raw, as in salads, or cooked, as in fritters, chowders, gumbos, and burgers. All parts of the conch meat are edible.  However, some people find only the white meat appetizing.
In The Bahamas, conch is typically served as fritters and salads. Conch is considered to be the country's main dish".  From wikipedia

I have tasted conch salad from many different countries in the Caribbean.
So the best is from Blue Wave in Nassau Bahamas at potters key.  Blue Wave has been making conch salad for over 20 years and most locals swear by them they also make amazing sky juice.

Potters key is mostly locals which I highly recommend, they are very friendly and the best thing to do is start up a conversation.  If you are visiting Nassau its a short walk from the cruise ship terminal and on your way to atlantis right under the bridge to paradise island click on location and it will come up on google maps for you.
They also make the best tropical conch salad I have ever had check it out and with a very friendly smile!
